In such a diverse society it is increasingly important for clients’ needs and requirements to be met and additional support to be provided for those with disabilities and impairments. The Equality Act 2010 has imposed a duty on companies to make reasonable adjustments to suit the needs of their vulnerable clients. This means that companies must anticipate the specific needs of client’s and make tailored adjustments to suit the requirements of these individuals.

Here at Edward Hands & Lewis, we have a client care promise and are committed to providing a widely accessible client service. Our promise to all clients is to innovate and provide a first class service that is tailored to suit the requirements of all, whether they are a private individual or company. We are aware of the challenges that vulnerable clients face when dealing with legal issues and we treat them in a professional and compassionate manner.

For the comfort of our clients, we have fee earners who speak a number of different languages and therefore can offer assistance where it is required. Where this is not possible we can provide clients with an appropriate interpreter. We also provide home visits, we have a fee earner with experience acting on the instruction of deaf clients and who has a stage 1 BSL and attended a deaf awareness course.

If you would like to speak to one of our specially qualified legal team please do not hesitate to contact us on 0116 266 5394.
